I am fundraising for Ebony Forest because Mauritius is home to an incredible natural heritage that many of us do not realise is disappearing.
 

Ebony trees once formed an important part of Mauritius' native forests, but centuries of deforestation and the introduction of invasive species have left only a small fraction of our original native forest ecosystems. Ebony Forest is working to restore and protect this heritage by planting indigenous and endemic species, conserving wildlife and rebuilding forests for the future.
 

Your donation contributes towards protecting Mauritius' unique biodiversity and helping restore the forests that belong to our island.
 

Every contribution, big or small, can help. I also hope this fundraiser encourages more people to learn about Mauritius' ebony trees and the conservation work happening at Ebony Forest.
